Rimoslim is the generic version of Acomplia and works in the
endocannabinoid system located in the brain. The Endocannabinoid
system is one that affects glucose and fat metabolism, energy
balance and body weight. The drug affects the activity on the CB 1
receptors in the endocannabinoid system. These receptors control and
regulate nicotine and food intake. By reducing the CB 1 receptors
activity Rimoslim (Acomplia) causes patients to have a feeling of no
longer wanted to eat. There is therefore a suppression of the
appetite. Rimoslim reduces the CB 1 receptors activity by blocking
them.
When Rimoslim is used along with a diet low in calories and regular
exercise at a moderate level, Rimoslim will cause a dramatic loss of
weight in patients who are obese.
Rimoslim is used mainly for the treatment of obesity and overweight,
but it also has the effect of reducing the urge to take tobacco,
that most smokers have. The end result will be that Rimoslim causes
you eat less and also reduce smoking.
When Rimoslim is used as a treatment for obesity it is given mainly
to people who are overweight which are those with a Body Mass Index
more than or equal to 30 kg/m2 Rimoslim is also given to overweight
people who are susceptible to medical risk factors such as heart
disease.
For anyone who is obese and who would like to take Rimoslim you
should have a meeting with your physician to talk about the drug as
a therapeutic treatment choice and if it is right for you.
